Texas A&M-San Antonio’s Spring Arts Expo

Visual Arts Exhibition: March 5-27
Musical Performances and Closing Reception: March 27, 6-9 pm

The Creative Arts and Performance Studies Program at Texas A&M-San Antonio is proud to present our annual Spring Creative Arts Expo, showcasing the best creative work of our students for the year. The interdisciplinary CAPS program encompasses visual art, music, theatre, and creative writing.

The work of our visual artists will be on display throughout the month of March. On March 27, please join us for a night of musical performances by the University Voices choir, student musicians, live poetry readings, art, and refreshments. It will be a night of celebrating our student’s achievements!

About The Creative Arts and Performance Studies Program at Texas A&M-San Antonio:

The interdisciplinary Creative Arts and Performance Studies (CAPS) program encompasses visual art, music, theatre, and creative writing. It prepares students to participate in arts fields, both as working artists, musicians, writers, and performers, and in nonprofit, public, and private sectors. Our emphasis on public art and arts administration will prepare students to work as arts educators, curators, content creators, and administrators. The CAPS program will also provide opportunities for the community to attend arts events on campus including concerts, exhibits, and performance, thus reinforcing the relationship between the university and the community. We are firmly rooted in San Antonio’s flourishing arts community, offering particular emphasis on Hispanic and Indigenous artistic traditions, and promoting diverse, multilingual approaches and performances. Broadly, this program increases access and exposure to a range of art forms.
